Kilwa BMU Network Participates in Sustainable Financial Solutions Workshop to Tackle Community Challenges

sustainable financial coalition

The workshop was organized by the Sustainable Finance Coalition in partnership with Blue Ventures, our key strategic partner in fisheries co-management and marine conservation. Participants were equipped with practical financial tools and strategies aimed at empowering coastal communities. These tools help communities’ access financial resources and sustainable funding mechanisms to support alternative, eco-friendly livelihoods—ultimately easing pressure on marine ecosystems. “We believe that the knowledge and strategies shared during this workshop will play a vital role in improving the economic resilience of Kilwa’s coastal communities, while contributing to the long-term sustainability of our marine resources.” — Kilwa District BMU Network Team We express our heartfelt thanks to the facilitators and partner organizations for making this training possible.
